2024 marks the 35th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square massacre, the 10th anniversary of the Umbrella Movement, and the 5th anniversary of the Hong Kong Anti-Extradition Law Amendment Bill Movement. This year, the Vancouver Society in Support of Democratic Movements will continue to uphold memory, reject forgetting, and organize a series of commemorative events.

Laying Wreaths to the Goddess of Democracy to commemorate thousands of students and civilians who died in Tiananmen Square in 1989.
